This Special Discussion Forum was developed in conjunction with the presentation of a special 13 week series, entitled CREDO 13, on Maimonides' Principles of Faith that orginally aired in Ontario, in Spring 2005, on Sunday evenings, at 10:00 pm, on CTS. While this Discussion Forum is presented in connection with this program, viable participation in it is not limited to those who have seen the show.

The Ninth Principle is that the Torah is Eternal. Simply, this principle asserts that the Torah will not be changed, i.e. that the Revelation at Sinai has everlasting authority. This flows from the Seventh Principle that Moses' Prophecy is unique; if there can never be a prophet like Moses, there can never be a revelation to rival Sinai. Does this, however, mean that the Torah is static and not dynamic? Through the Halachic process there would also seem to be a dynamic nature to Torah as we welcome the idea of chiddush, new thoughts within Torah. The challenge is to define the correct balance.
